Manitoba Prayer Fellowship

Manitoba commonly referred to as ‘Friendly Manitoba’ is a prairie province
and is populated by approximately 1.2 million people who come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Manitoba is home to 100,000 lakes where people enjoy weekends on scenic landscapes and the many beautiful provincial parks is a haven to the campers, hikers, fishers and outdoor lovers. Winnipeg is the capital city of Manitoba and is home to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, the first national museum outside of Canada’s capital. The academic institutions vary from Universities to Community Colleges within the city and the province, that welcome plethora of international students to come and build their life in Canada.

Initially starting on Zoom in Portage La Prairie in 2021, MPF moved to in-person gatherings in a basement. The fellowship outgrew this space and moved to Church of the Rock North End in 2022. Focusing on outreach and missions, especially among the indigenous community, MPF hosted its first camp, Meraki Manitoba, in October 2022. The fellowship continues to grow, with around 25 regular attendees in 2024, guided by Pastor Jerry Jose and supported by Brothers Vijoy Simon and Jans Thomas.
